A Northwest Tradition Since 1935

We trace our roots back to a single, family-owned egg farm in the Skagit Valley.

DRAPER VALLEY FARMS:
Pioneering Members of our Local Community

Just like our chickens, we were raised right here in the Pacific Northwest. Our farms are in Washington and Oregon, and our feed mill and sole packaging plant are in Washington, too. We consider it an honor to be a part of this local community.

HISTORY

We trace our roots back to 1935, to a single, family-owned egg farm in the Skagit Valley. A lot has changed over eight decades, including the switch from selling table eggs to growing chickens. But our biggest changes came through a focus on "small."

In the 1990s, consumers started seeking more information about how their food was produced. So we moved away from the trend toward bigger, faster and cheaper. We focused on our consumers in the Northwest and on how we raise our chickens. We altered our chicken feed to remove animal by-products that are often used as a cheap source of protein. We stopped the common practice of using antibiotics. And we introduced the DRAPER VALLEY FARMS® brand of No Antibiotics Ever Chicken.

In the late 1990s, we continued to innovate our chicken-raising practices by creating the RANGER® brand of free-range chicken—giving our chickens space to move about freely.

To offer our local consumers more organic chicken options, we launched ROXY™ The Organic Chicken in 2017, carefully following USDA Organic quality standards. ROXY™ chickens are raised in a free-range environment on certified organic farms in the Northwest, fed a non-GMO diet and never given antibiotics—ever.

Draper Valley Farms is committed to providing our community in the Pacific Northwest with chicken that is always fresh, always local and always raised the way nature intended.

*USDA organic regulations do not permit the use of GMOs in organic products.
